You are cordially invited to the 2022 Global ODA Forum hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA).
International conflicts such as wars in Ukraine and Syria, which are major food exporting countries, have caused a sharp increase in hunger and food prices. In addition, climate disasters including droughts (fires), floods, typhoons, and rising sea levels caused by climate change are not confined to specific regions but are occurring more frequently across the globe. Moreover, outbreaks of infectious diseases such as COVID-19 and ASF are disrupting food production. As part of the efforts to overcome these challenges and achieve food security, international cooperation is urgently needed to respond to climate change and realize carbon neutrality.
In this context, we would like to provide a venue to increase the role of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs of the Republic of Korea and strengthen international solidarity through in-depth discussions with relevant organizations and experts from home and abroad.
The 2022 Global ODA Forum is to be held on November 21-22 under the theme of “Developing international development cooperation measures for food and nutrition security in a changing environment”. In consideration of the COVID-19 situation, the Forum consisting of four sessions will be offered in a hybrid format that accommodates both online and offline participants.
